For Homebridge Nest Cameras · Last updated October 17, 2026
Homebridge Nest Cameras is a private, noncommercial integration used to connect selected Google Nest cameras to Apple Home.
Information accessed
With the Google account holder's authorization, the integration may access basic home and device information, authorized camera live streams, camera events (such as motion, sound, or person detection), and available event snapshots. The integration also uses Google Cloud Pub/Sub to receive authorized event messages.
How information is used
Information is used solely to operate the owner's home automation setup: presenting camera feeds and related device information in Apple Home and enabling optional automations in response to camera events.
Processing and storage
The integration runs on a privately administered Homebridge computer. OAuth credentials and integration settings are stored in that configuration. Camera streams and event information may pass through Google's services, the Homebridge software, and Apple Home as necessary to provide the configured functionality. Temporary data or diagnostic logs may be generated by these services and software components.
Sharing
The application is not offered to other users, and the operator does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Data is transmitted to the services and devices needed for the authorized integration, including Google services and Apple Home. The respective services and software components have their own data-handling practices.
Access and control
The Google account holder controls the devices authorized for this integration and can revoke its Google account access or remove the Homebridge integration. The system is intended solely for the account holder's personal use.
Changes
This policy may be updated if the integration's operation or data practices change.
